Each year the need to meet the requirement of the expenditure side of the orchestra's budget becomes more difficult. Finding and keeping good musicians and a respected conductor means competing with several orchestras throughout Southeastern Michigan in regard to salaries and working conditions.

On behalf of our Board of Directors, musicians and our widely acclaimed recognized conductor Charles Greenwell, we thank all those who recognize the value of having an outstanding musical organization like the Southern Great Lakes Symphony in the Downriver area.
