The summer Olympics in China gives flavor our first concert with a performance of the Bach Double Violin Concerto played on conventional violin and Chinese version, the Erhu. Our own Ioana Galu will be joined by Beijing trained Ehru player, Xiao Dong Wei in an east-west rendition of this Bach favorite. The concert finishes with the exuberant and sophisticated Eighth Symphony of Beethoven.
